Fire Emblem Week: Eliwood

You may notice that I'm posting stuff in rapid succession; well, I have a lot to say. Anyway, in the week that Fire Emblem: Awakening is finally released in the UK, I intend to take a look back at the other Fire Emblem games that have been available in the UK and their characters. First up on that list is Eliwood, the main character in the first Fire Emblem game for the GBA, imaginatively titled Fire Emblem.
Eliwood
Eliwood first appears in Lyn's story, rescuing a dancer named Ninian from some bandits, and then convincing Caelin's neighbours to not involve themselves in Lyn's battle.
A year after that, Eliwood sets out on a quest to find his missing father, Lord Elbert. He is joined by his best friend Hector, and eventually reunites with Lyn. Their quest takes them up against an organisation known as Black Fang.
Eliwood is the father of Roy, who's only appearance outside of Japan so far has been Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Eliwood has no love for war. He states that if he focuses on the enemy before him, he's fine, but picturing innocent families caught up in it... Despite that, he will fight for what he believes is right.
Something I haven't mentioned previously is support conversations. If you raise two characters support level to A, they gain an ending together. Lyn, Ninian and a pegasus knight by the name of Fiora all have the possibility of ending up as Eliwood's betrothed, and mother of Roy.
