First Impressions: Gatchaman Crowds

Finally, we've moved on to the anime that I wasn't sure about watching at first... well, one of them at least. This is Gatchaman Crowds, and here are my thoughts on it.

We are introduced to a male school student, called Sugane Tachibana, who appears to be receiving messages through his notebook, which is not too different from Tom Marvolo Riddle's diary in Harry Potter. He is tracking someone down with the information he is receiving.
We are then introduced to our main character, Hajime Ichinose. She seems to be fairly obsessed with notebooks, and ends up going outside in order to try and find a way to make her newest addition to her collection cuter. She ends up having the power of Gatchaman bestowed upon her by a tall man named JJ.
After meeting the other Gatchaman members, she and Sugane fight against a MESS, aliens that are a threat to the human race (naturally).

So, yeah, this anime has an interesting feel to it. Hajime clearly puts a lot of energy into everything she does, and accepting of it as well. She receives her power with no hesitation, and is happy about it. Sugane struggles to cope with Hajime's energy, but he is able to hold his own in a fight.

So, this will be on that I continue to watch, especially as there was the foreshadowing of a threat greater than MESS.
